Venlift contains Venlafaxine as the active ingredient which is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor used in the treatment of depression and panic disorders.
Venlafaxine hydrochloride selectively inhibits the neuronal re-uptake of serotonin, norepinephrine and to a lesser extent dopamine. It has minimal affinity for muscarinic, histamine or a1-adrenergic receptors. It appears to be as effective as standard antidepressants with a lower incidence of the anticholinergic side effects.
Venlift is prescribed for the treatment of :
• General anxiety disorder
• Social phobia
• Panic disorder
• Vasomotor symptoms
Direction to Use
Common Side Effects of Venlift are Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Decreased appetite, Anxiety, Constipation, Increased sweating, Sexual dysfunction.
It can cause a sensation of restlessness or an inability to sit or stand still. This is most likely to occur within the first few weeks of treatment. You should tell your doctor if this happens to you.
