Adrenaline / Epinephrine is an alpha- and beta-adrenergic agonist. It relaxes muscles in your lungs and relieves spasm, wheezing, and shortness of breath that occurs during a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).
Adrenaline is a direct-acting sympathomimmetic. It stimulates a- and ß-adrenergic receptors resulting in relaxation of smooth muscle of the bronchial tree, cardiac stimulation and dilation of skeletal muscle vasculature. It is frequently added to local anaesthetics to retard diffusion and limit absorption, to prolong the duration of effect and to lessen the danger of toxicity.
Benifits:
Adrenaline / Epinephrine is used in the treatment of severe allergic reactions and cardiac arrest.
