Dulot contains Duloxetine as the active ingredient which is an antidepressant agent belonging to serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) class effective for major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), and also in chronic pain conditions.

Duloxetine is a potent inhibitor of neuronal reuptake of serotonin, norepinephrine and to a lesser extent dopamine. It has no significant affinity for adrenergic, muscarinic, cholinergic, histaminergic, opioid, glutamate and GABA receptors. It also does not inhibit monoamine oxidase.




Dulot Capsule is prescribed for the treatment of:
• Major depressive disorder
• Diabetic neuropathy
• Chronic pain syndromes
• Stress incontinence

Direction to Use

  • Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
  • Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dulot Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
  • You may have to wait for 2 to 4 weeks to get the full effect. If your doctor asks you to stop Dulot Capsule, you should not discontinue it abruptly. Many patients tolerate decreasing 50% dose every 3 days however if the withdrawal symptoms emerge during tapering it would require more gradual tapering over few weeks. Monitor blood pressure (BP) frequently.

Side Effects

Common Side Effects of Dulot are Nausea, Headache, Dryness in mouth, Sleepiness, Dizziness.

It can cause a sensation of restlessness or an inability to sit or stand still. This is most likely to occur within the first few weeks of treatment. You should tell your doctor if this happens to you.
